1 7-day satisfaction guarantee
If you're a first-time Chef Amí subscriber and you're not happy within your first 7 days, email us and we'll refund your payment in full — no hoops, no explanation needed.
This guarantee applies to your first paid subscription period — monthly or annual. It does not apply to renewals or accounts that have previously received a refund.
2 Refund eligibility
Outside of the 7-day guarantee, we evaluate refund requests case by case. You may be eligible for a full or partial refund if:
- You were charged after canceling your subscription (billing error)
- You were charged twice for the same period (duplicate charge)
- A significant technical issue prevented access for an extended period we couldn't resolve
- You were charged for an annual renewal within 24 hours and hadn't intended to renew
We generally do not issue refunds for:
- Subscription periods already used beyond the 7-day window
- Forgetting to cancel before a monthly renewal
- "I didn't use it" after more than 7 days have passed
- Dissatisfaction with AI-generated meal plans after the guarantee window
If your situation doesn't fit neatly into the above, please reach out anyway. We're a small team and we care about fairness — we'll do our best to make it right.
3 Annual & lifetime memberships
Annual plans are billed upfront at a discounted rate. The 7-day guarantee applies at signup. After that window, annual subscriptions are non-refundable as a lump sum, but you may cancel to prevent future renewal and retain access through the end of your paid period.
Founding memberships (The Founding Table and Founding Member) are one-time lifetime purchases. These are non-refundable after the 7-day guarantee window.
4 Cancellation vs. refund
Canceling stops future charges. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period — no refund is issued for remaining time.
A refund returns money to you and can be requested whether or not you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Account Settings → Membership → Cancel Subscription.
5 How to request a refund
Email us
Send a message to hello@mychefami.com with the subject "Refund Request" and your account email address.
We'll review it
We respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. We may ask a brief follow-up question.
Refund is processed
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
6 App Store & Google Play
If you subscribed through Apple or Google, your purchase is subject to their refund policies. We do not control or process refunds for app store purchases — please contact Apple or Google directly:
